“We turn the heat on now. And we are going to put some oil in it to heat it up. We have homemade olive oil. We can use it to cook today. This has to be grand, it's homemade, and organic from my garden. The oil is heated. I’m going to dip the mixture of pumpkin in the bread crumbs. You make it look like a finger. Or round ball, it doesn’t matter.”

“Be generous with bread crumbs, so that it can also be mixed together with the mixture of pumpkin and vegan cheese. It will add a little bit of solidity to your pumpkin finger. Easier to handle. This one is done. I’m going to take it out. After it’s deep fried, it should become harder, and it looks like this, it looks like a finger. So that’s why I call it pumpkin finger. But the trick is, if your pumpkin is too wet, sometimes it’s younger and it has more fluid, then you can add in a little bit of wheat flour to stabilize it before you cover it with the bread crumbs, or you can mix more bread crumbs in it. And the heat cannot be too low. It better be hot enough, otherwise, your pumpkin finger will not fry quick enough, and it will break into pieces.”

“Heat control is best for when you want to fry something, because when it’s too hot, the heat will automatically turn itself lower. So it’s always nice, even heat. When it’s golden like this, then it is done. Looks golden like this. Then it is perfect. And you transfer it into the sieve, so the oil will sieve out, and it’s not too oily. Put it on the sieve, wait there until the oil drips off, and then we put it on our plate, there we are.”

“(Wow, Master, what’s all this again?) This is pumpkin and vegan cheese fingers. We call it pumpkin fingers, simple. All these are decorations. You want to know more? (It’s lovely.) Melon, red pepper, and eggplant. It just makes it look nice, but they’re just simple things.”

“(And this, Master, the orange?) Open it and have a look. Wow! Orange ice cream. (Cool! That looks lovely!) We eat that after. Or you can eat it before or whatever because we eat the fried stuff. So we should have some fresh vegetables with it and afterward, ice cream so to cool off. If you like cool. So enjoy now. (OK, thank You.) You can eat with your fingers or with a knife and fork. OK, take it out. Like that. And you can eat it with mustard. Or you can eat it with bread and vegan butter or mustard and ketchup.”
