In today’s news, Norway and United Nations Development Programme jointly promote food security in Nepal, survey shows two-thirds of Americans concerned about global warming, United Kingdom engineers develop robot medic to assist in disaster relief work, Denver, USA non-profit organization assists unsheltered individuals in city through cash assistance program, eco-conscious Palestinian man turns old car tires into multiple products in Gaza, Brazilian plant-based food companies create new association to make plant-based food more accessible to public, and rare deep-sea fish-person sighted off coast of Taiwan, also known as Formosa.

I have a tip for those of you with canine companions like me. During the hot weather, hydration is vital to prevent your furry friends from experiencing heatstroke. Be sure they always have access to drinking water and you can even add ice cubes to their water bowl. Although exercise is important to your four-legged friends’ health and well-being, it is better not to take them on walks in extreme heat, which can put them at risk for heatstroke. It is generally safe to take them out in temperatures of up to 19 degrees Celsius. Please be cautious with any temperatures above this, because they may be at risk even when the temperature is only 20 degrees Celsius. If you’re not sure, touch the pavement with your hand. This way you’ll know it’s definitely too hot for your canine-person’s paws if it’s too hot for you. It is best to walk them at times of the day when it is cooler, like the early mornings as opposed to the evenings. Taking breaks during the outing to prevent heatstroke is a good idea, especially in certain breeds known for their stamina and energy, since they don’t always self-regulate their exercise in the heat. It may be tempting for you to want to shave your dog-companion's fur to keep them cool, but this can put them at risk of sunburn and affect their natural ability to control their body temperature. Alternatively, you can brush their hair regularly to get rid of excess fur or trim the ones with medium to long hair.

Now, it’s time to add a healthy portion of guffaws into your day with the following joke. It’s called “Let Them Assume.”

The heat of the summer afternoon was tremendous. A husband woke up from his nap sweating profusely. He was startled to find that all the windows and main doors were closed. He immediately questioned his wife:

“It’s so hot! Why did you close all the windows and doors?”

“Can't you stand the heat a bit? I did it so that our neighbors would assume our house has air conditioning.”

??!!

And now we have a heartline from Fadhlan in Bali, Indonesia:

Dear Lovely Master, Warm greetings from Bali Initiates in Indonesia.

I want to share a little bit of my life experience since I was initiated in 2006. For some reasons, I always attended schools and colleges that were close to the Meditation Center. After graduating from college, I have always worked at places that are close to the Meditation Center, making it easier for me to gather with other initiates and to be motivated in spiritual practice. I believe that all of these are arranged by Master to facilitate my spiritual practice. For me, it is a miracle which is Master’s greatest Blessing in this life.

Thank You, Master, for all Your Blessings and arrangements that my spiritual practice has continued until now. Fadhlan from Indonesia

Devoted Fadhlan, Our gratitude to you for relating this experience and how Master’s Blessing is with us always.

We are happy to relay Master’s fond reply for you: “Sweet Fadhlan, your gratitude is also what brings such good fortune to you, thus easing your way forward in your spiritual practice. Well done for being able to balance out your studies and work to allow as much time possible for meditation at the Center with your brothers and sisters. I send you my Love, and may God’s eternal Light always shine brightly for you and the smiling Indonesian people.”
