In Shining World Compassion Award News from the United States…

The Center for Great Apes’ mission is to provide a permanent habitat for orangutans and chimpanzees who have been rescued or retired from the entertainment industry, research, or the exotic pet trade. Founder Ms. Patty Ragan, started the sanctuary with 5 young orangutans and chimpanzees in 1993, and since then, it has grown to house over 50 apes. Spanning over nearly 50 hectares of land, these animals are now in a very loving, caring, and healthy environment to live out the rest of their lives in peace.

“Even though they’re in enclosed habitats, which is for their safety as well as people’s safety because great apes are very strong, (Right.) very intelligent. We want them to have as many choices and [as much] freedom as they can. So, today, we have 19 outdoor habitats. (Wow.) And they’re all connected with about a mile and a half (2.4 kilometers) or more, almost two miles (3.2 kilometers) now of the elevated tunnel system. So the different groups can go in different sections. They’re not just in one area all the time. They can move next week across the creek, go back up on the hill, then the following week, they’ll go somewhere else.”

Upon learning about this caring work, Supreme Master Ching Hai presented the Shining World Compassion Award to Ms. Ragan, along with a humble contribution of US$15,000 to support the Center for Great Apes.

An excerpt from the Award letter reads: “This Award is presented in recognition of your benevolent heart, touched by their serenity and need for assistance, you created an ideal haven for great apes to enjoy the remainder of their lives in a loved environment.”

Ms. Regan expressed her appreciation to Master for receiving the Shining World Compassion Award.

“I want to thank the Supreme Master Ching Hai for this wonderful Award. It means a lot to us to be recognized for our work with the great apes. Thank You so much.”

Our Association members in Florida, USA, were honored to present Master’s financial contribution as well as Her publications to Ms. Ragan. She thankfully received the donation and expressed her heartfelt gratitude.

“Wow, this is amazing. (Thank you so much.) We are so grateful for this gift, and it means a lot that it comes from an organization that has the same values that we have, kindness to animals and protecting the environment. It’s a huge gift, and we’re really thrilled. So thank You, Supreme Master Ching Hai. I think I would like to say to the Supreme Master that I'm very impressed that an organization would do research and find places like ours to help support, and I’ve been on the (Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association) website, and it’s wonderful that it’s about love and life and really protecting each other and protecting animals and thank You. Thank You so much.”

Our congratulations and best wishes go out to Ms. Patty Ragan, the staff at the Center for the Great Apes, and all the dedicated volunteers and contributors. Many thanks for providing a safe home for the gentle and deserving orangutans and chimpanzees. May God shower abundant blessings on all of you.

For the full presentation of the Shining World Compassion Award to the Center for the Great Apes, please tune in to our Shining World Awards program at a later date.

New COVID-19 variant may be vaccine-resistant.

A new mutation of the COVID-19 virus called Mu (or B.1.621) has been discovered, and according to the World Health Organization, those who have built up an immunity to COVID through current vaccines or a prior infection possibly may not be protected, however, more research is needed to verify its strength. It is currently prevalent in Columbia and Ecuador, where 39% and 13% of infections are of this variant, respectively. It has appeared in more than 39 countries, including the United States, Korea, Japan, Canada and parts of Europe. Our appreciation, World Health Organization, for helping to inform people of the dangerous developments regarding COVID-19. We sincerely pray to Heaven for all people to take precautions to ensure their safety while in public, as well as to respect Divine law by switching to a plant-based lifestyle so the current karmic cycle of suffering can end.

Up next, green energy now half the price of fossil fuels in Europe. We’ll just give thanks to the digital imaging technicians, who assist the camera team and cinematographers to achieve the best possible digital image quality for visual productions. Please stay with us for more supporting news on Supreme Master Television. Vegan: the animals r raised n caged in excrement n urine, n u put them in ur mouth?

Hallo, nice friends, I’m Cortez the vegan Coatimundi. If I tell you the best diet is plant-based, would you believe me? Of course, you would. Cuz you are also vegan. Here is a gentle reminder for dog walkers. Please be sure to bring a bottle filled with a vinegar-water mixture to spray the areas where your loving animal companion urinates on the street. This will help get rid of the odor as well as keep streets clean for all other users. Love you for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all humans and us all co-inhabitants. Thank you for watching. And now, the weather around the world.

Renewables in Europe now half the price of fossil fuels.

A report by Ember, a UK-headquartered independent climate and energy think tank, found that the cost of generating power from renewable sources such as wind and solar is now half the price of fossil fuels. It was also noted that renewable energy currently makes up 39% of the electricity generated by the European Union (EU)’s 27 member states, with 11% more being generated in the first half of 2021 compared to the first half of 2019. Even with this good news, however, the report stated that the EU would need to double the rate of clean power produced year-on-year to meet its Fit for 55 policy that seeks to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 55% by 2030, compared to 1990 levels. Way to go, Europe, on your fast shift to green energy. In the love of the Providence, may your kind nations soon reach full carbon neutrality in all areas of the economy.

Thailand to offer unsold government housing for low rent to elderly.

The Thai government recently approved a plan to utilize 4,089 units of unsold housing to accommodate seniors. It also approved a budget increase of nearly US$340,000 to upgrade some 45 units in the “Sukkasem Housing” project in Samut Prakan province that serves as a pilot initiative for the plan. The project’s 33 and 27 square meter residential units will be rented to the elderly, civil servants and retired government employees for up to US$92 a month, and the site includes a healthcare center as well as common and event areas for the residents. Thailand is a Shining World Leadership Award for Good Governance and a Shining World Leadership Award for Compassion laureate. Bravo, Thai officials, for this consideration shown toward your treasured seniors. May all those in their golden years in Thailand find peace and safety, in Buddha’s wise protection.

Police officer in New York state, United States braves house fire to save family.

On July 19, 2021, while attending to another call, Officer Mark Conklin was alerted to a house fire nearby. Without hesitation, he responded immediately by running to the scene of a house engulfed in flames, with five people trapped inside. He withstood the extreme heat and helped three people on the main floor to make their way out. Then he directed a trapped mother and child to jump from an upstairs window, and caught them safely. “I can say that the actions of Officer Conklin were, to say the least, one of the most outstanding examples of bravery, heroism, and exemplary service I have seen,” said Jamestown Police Chief Tim Jackson. Our gratefulness and an honorable salute, Officer Mark Conklin. In God’s loving light, may our selfless heroes be forever protected, and we pray the fire-affected family members quickly rebuild their lives anew.

Coming up, new animated clips encourage going vegan. Let’s take a moment to thank the modern technological advancements in the world, that bring comfort and ease to our lives so we can have more time to connect with God’s loving essence within ourselves. We’ll return with more enriching news on Supreme Master Television. Vegan: let’s save our world. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Splendid News for a Compassionate World.

Inspiring cartoons encourage people to go vegan.

LIVEKINDLY Collective, an organization dedicated to making plant-based living the new global norm, in collaboration with the Dutch comic artist Toon van Driel has released a series of animated clips called Kind Heroes. The entertaining animations help raise awareness about animal welfare as well as food choices and include stories about the lives and actions of 10 different animals to save themselves from becoming meat. One of the cute characters Ernie the pig comes up with brilliant ideas to avoid being turned into pork, and Rock Chick’s mother helps her escape the battery cage she is in. Mr. van Driel said, “I hope my tales will help people find empathy for animals in the world of underdogs, underchickens, underlambs with one wish: EAT ME NOT.” Three cheers, LIVEKINDLY Collective and Toon van Driel, for your fantastic cartoon series. In Heaven’s radiant gaze, may Kind Heroes help persuade many to become healthy and compassion-filled vegan individuals.

Hero cat leads rescuers to caregiver in distress.

A black cat named Piran has been widely lauded for his determined vocalizations that led a rescuer to find the loyal feline’s missing 83-year-young human companion in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. Neighbor Tamar Longmuir noticed Piran’s unusual behavior of persistently meowing by a cornfield’s gate. This prompted her to scour the hedgerow, where she then heard the distressed lady calling for help. She had tumbled 21 meters down an embankment through barbed wire and into a stream. Emergency services were notified and soon arrived to conduct the challenging rescue operation. The senior was air-lifted to the hospital where she is recovering while her friend is feeding loving Piran. A standing ovation for your purrfect communication, faithful Piran. Our high praises, Ms. Longmuir and the rescue crew, for your life-saving response. May the lady have a speedy recovery and many more delightful years ahead with best friend Piran, in Divine delight.

Let the merriment begin! It’s the joke of the day titled, “Mommy Test.”

A four-year-old girl was walking in a park with her mom. The little girl picked up something from the ground and started to put it in her mouth. Her mom stopped her and took the item away.

“You can’t put that in your mouth, Ashlee.”

“Why?”

“Because it’s been on the ground, you don’t know where it’s been. It’s dirty and probably has germs.”

“Mommy, how do you know all this stuff? You are so smart.”

“All moms know this stuff. It’s on the Mommy Test. You have to know it, or they don’t let you be a mommy.”

They continued walking for 2 to 3 minutes, as Ashlee thought deeply about this all the while. Suddenly, she announced:

“OH...I get it! So if you don’t pass the test, then you have to be the daddy?”

“Exactly.”

And now we have a heartline from Riley in Canada:

Dear Master, how are You? You’ve been having conference calls with the Supreme Master Television team from time to time. Conferences sometimes could last for a few hours, and during those long hours, You were holding the telephone’s handset. If I were You, I would have felt pain or stiffness in my shoulder, arm and hand. Master, maybe You could connect a headphone to the telephone and be hands-free. I pray that all Heavens, Cosmic Benevolent Beings, and all powerful and mighty Godses protect You, so that You’re absolutely safe and have perfect health, and all Your wishes come true soon. I’m forever grateful for Your eternal and infinite Love. With God’s Love, Riley from Canada

Intelligent Riley, What a considerate idea for easing discomfort! Master experiences a lot of inconveniences and challenges in fulfilling Her mission. We are sure She will appreciate your suggestion! May God’s Grace always uplift you and majestic Canada.

Master has some words to bless your soul: “Thoughtful Riley, it really touched my heart that you are thinking of me and sincerely wanting to help. I very much appreciate your caring recommendation, and if time permits will look into it. Though for now it is not very doable, as I have to keep changing place of residence, and do not or cannot have high tech assistants around me. I am just so thankful that the situation still allows me to be connected with you, the TV team, for the world’s benefit. Thanks again, my love! May the Providence always watch over you and the noble people of Canada.”

We welcome your heartlines, stories and or cute, loving animal clips. Please send them via SupremeMasterTV.com/heartline
