Although it is not certain, Saint John the Apostle has been traditionally accepted as the author of the last Book in the Holy Bible – Revelation. This Book was written at the beginning of a challenging time for the Christian people. Though it is known as a record of inner visions, the Book of Revelation is also an encouragement to remain virtuous and faithful in God. Such true believers would surely enter the eternal Heavenly Kingdom of glory and blessedness of God. We will now read a passage from the Holy Bible’s Book of Revelation, in Chapters 19-21.
“At this I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, ‘Don’t do that! I am a fellow servant with you and with your brothers and sisters who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For it is the Spirit of prophecy Who bears testimony to Jesus.’”
“I saw Heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges. His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. The armies of Heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. ‘He will rule them with an iron scepter.’ He treads the press of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.”
“Then I saw ‘a new Heaven and a new Earth,’ for the first Heaven and the first Earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of Heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, ‘Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and He will dwell with them. They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them and be their God.’ ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.’”
“He Who was seated on the throne said, ‘I am making everything new!’ Then He said, ‘Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.’”
