Bill Gates, a Shining World Compassion Award recipient, says wealthy nations should eat plant-based beef to stop climate change.
In a recent interview with MIT Technology Review belonging to the United States’ Massachusetts Institute of Technology, American philanthropist Bill Gates outlined that the world’s wealthiest countries “should move to 100% synthetic beef” to stop climate change.
He also suggested the implementation of bonuses and strong government regulations to totally change consumer demand to plant-based alternatives. Mr. Gates warned that it is not possible to stop methane emissions from cows by using feed additives or different fertilizers, and praised the vegan meat companies Impossible Foods and Beyond Meat for their efforts to replace beef.
