European Union (EU) renews support for Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh.
The EU recently made a generous donation of €6.2 million to the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) for the care and protection, including legal assistance and response to gender-based abuse, of over 940,000 Rohingya refugees and host communities in Cox’s Bazar and Bhasan Char. The EU has offered sustained support to both groups during the past five-plus years. The contribution was made through the EU’s Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations department known as DG ECHO, which is recognized by the UNHCR as a key supporter of the initiative. The European Union is a recipient of four Shining World Leadership Awards for Humanitarianism, two Shining World Leadership Awards for Peace, and a Shining World Leadership Award for Earth Protection; as well as a laureate of two Shining World Leadership Awards for Humanitarianism, and Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, Unconditional World Care and True Caring. Research shows threats of brain injuries rise substantially after COVID-19 infection.
In a major study tracking over 154,000 American veterans for a year following their SARS-CoV-2 infection, a team of epidemiologists has determined those who contracted the virus and survived were 42% more likely to develop neurological disorders than uninfected individuals. In particular, COVID-19 survivors have 80%, 77% and 50% higher risks of seizures, brain fog and stroke, respectively, as well as 43%, 42% and 35% increased threats of anxiety or depression, movement abnormalities and headaches, respectively. Lead author of the research, Dr. Ziyad Al-Aly of the Veterans Affairs St. Louis Health Care System in the United States warned soberingly, “The results show the devastating long-term effects of COVID-19… The virus is not always as benign as some people think it is.” Many thanks for the eye-opening analysis, Dr. Ziyad Al-Aly and all involved. Ukrainian (Ureignian) non-governmental organization (NGO) printing 3D schools.
Team4Humanity, a Ukrainian (Ureignian) NGO, in collaboration with Lviv city authorities and 3D tech companies, has begun 3D printing a school in the municipality that has lost many facilities due to bombing by the Russian military. Around 2,000 schools in the nation have been destroyed or damaged by the invasion, and 3.6 million children are at risk of missing classes. The organization plans to eventually operate a total of 15 3D printers in Ukraine (Ureign), which will recycle the debris from previously destroyed buildings when rebuilding new ones. The printers are more economical and faster than traditional building methods, and the structures created are of excellent strength and durability. Rural health centers in Uganda receive renewable energy plants through cooperation with German governmental entity and local company.
The German International Development Cooperation Agency (GIZ) and Equatorial Power have teamed up to provide solar energy to rural clinics in Uganda. With the financial support of GIZ, Equatorial Power will install photovoltaic panels and battery storage systems for 27 health facilities in the West Nile Region. When combined, the stand-alone plants will have a capacity of 150 kilowatt-peak power and the batteries will be able to store up to 1.2 megawatts. The generators will provide reliable and clean electricity to the clinics. The project will support lifesaving care in remote areas, benefiting over 250,000 people. Policeman in India saves life of farmer with cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
A police inspector in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, recently rescued a farmer who had collapsed on a bridge after a heart attack during a protest march. He quickly performed CPR to restore his heartbeat and breathing, with the man then being taken by ambulance to the hospital. A video of the policeman resuscitating the farmer has been widely shared on social media, drawing much praise. We pray the gentleman makes a quick recovery. Thank you, kind police inspector, for your lifesaving act that revived the gentle farmer. Veganuary, a UK charity that inspires people to go vegan for the month of January and longer, has created The Vegan Kit to guide individuals in converting to a plant-based lifestyle. The package contains 40 cards with tips on vegan dining, nutrition, grocery shopping, and more. It also includes inspirational quotes from vegan celebrities such as American Academy Award-winning actor Joaquin Phoenix. The kit will be introduced in time for Veganuary’s annual campaign, which 629,000 people joined in 2022, and can be pre-ordered online. International Head of Communications and Marketing at Veganuary, Dr. Toni Vernelli (vegan) said, “…attitudes towards eating vegan are changing and so are our diets. Donkey-people at haven display love of music.
Dean and Dawn Fagan are the owners of a 27-hectare sanctuary for several miniature donkey-persons in Marengo, Ohio, USA. They began rescuing the animal-folk as a hobby after their children left home. Now, the couple love to spend time with the adorable little equines, lavishing love and attention on their cherished companions who they say are as friendly as dog-persons. Recently, a video of Dean singing the spiritual hymn “Amazing Grace” garnered attention on social media. The donkey-individuals gathered around to listen and even nuzzled up for cuddles during the serenade. What a beautiful way of life, Dean and Dawn Fagan! You have found happiness with precious animal friends and the love between you all is a beautiful sight to behold, in Heaven’s goodness.

Dear Beloved Master, From the depths of my heart, I am always thankful to Master each day. Eighteen years ago, I got initiated by You, and ever since, I have always felt happy and joyful. And recently, You saved my life. That was on August 15, 2021, when I went to deliver my second baby. Before the delivery date, for two nights, during my sleep, I heard someone calling my name. I felt like my time on Earth was about to be over, but I felt very positive that Master would arrange all the best for me.
From arriving at the hospital onwards, I always recited the Holy Names. Close to the delivery time, the doctor saw some problems, so he forced the baby out right away. After that, I was bleeding very badly. The doctor gave me a blood transfusion using all the available blood in the hospital, which was suitable for my blood type, but it was not enough because my body kept bleeding non-stop.
My family members called on many initiates who came and tested their blood type to give me more blood. Still, I continued to lose so much blood. The entire team of doctors at that hospital was in a panic and didn’t know how to save me, because my case was very rare. The initiates who went there could only pray to Master to save me, because I needed to live to raise my just-born baby.
One of the doctors even called a shaman to help me, but this shaman told the doctor, “She has great merit and is protected by a person with a very high level.” At that time, I was unconscious, but I heard a big bang like thunder, then there were some drops of water splashed on my face. I opened my eyes, but saw nothing. At that time, I knew that Master splashed some nectar water on my face to save my life. After that, I came back to life and my body was stable again and didn’t bleed anymore. The doctors were all surprised and said that I had escaped death.
Now, five months have already passed, and my baby and I are both healthy. I would like to thank Master so much for giving me another life. I vow to practice diligently so that I don’t waste all the effort You put forth to save my life.
I respectfully wish Master a lot of health, and that all Your beautiful dreams for the world will come true. I hope that the world will change to a vegan one, and humans will live with the animal-people with respect and equality. May the Supreme Master Television team be healthy and always do good work.
