A one-month campaign to raise funds from the Taiwanese (Formosan) public to help Ukrainian refugees sheltering in the Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Slovakia was recently held. At a news conference, the Minister of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), His Excellency Joseph Wu, announced that his government would donate US$1 million dollars to each of the countries to provide relief aid to fleeing Ukrainian citizens. Also, 2,000 volunteers gathered 650 tons of commodities, including clothes and medicine, which were sent to Poland and Slovakia. The MOFA further reported previous donations of over US$14 million to relief organizations in Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Lithuania. Additionally, the government has sent US$8 million to Kyiv and Ukrainian medical institutions. Taiwan (Formosa) is a Shining World Leadership Award for Compassion recipient. Approximately 500 UK species could be protected if less meat eaten by Britons.
United Kingdom-based non-profit the Food Foundation, dedicated to promoting a sustainable and healthy diet for all, published a new report in April 2022 predicting that by reducing red meat intake by 5.5 grams and replacing it with a handful of vegetables each day, as many as 536 species could increase their habitable areas by more than 10%. The report projects that under such a scenario, 27% of the land currently used for raising animal-people for food could be utilized to foster biodiversity. However, a failure to address effective land use could result in 626 species losing habitable areas given the increasing severity of climate change. Los Angeles commits to sheltering homeless citizens.
The city of Los Angeles, USA, will invest up to US$3 billion until 2027 to provide beds for 14,000 to 16,000 people out of the 41,000 homeless residents in the city, according to the terms of a proposed court settlement. In addition, sufficient shelters will be created to accommodate 60% of the individuals currently living without homes in each City Council district. The settlement, which is awaiting council approval, is the result of a federal lawsuit launched in 2020 by the L.A. Alliance for Human Rights, to ensure the city and county properly support homeless individuals in the very difficult circumstances they face. Los Angeles is a laureate of two Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion and a Shining World Super Loving Care Leadership Award. We applaud this notable agreement, city of Los Angeles and L.A. Biodegradable baby diapers complete successful trial in New South Wales (NSW), Australia.
The Bega Valley Shire Council provided compostable nappies to 50 local families as part of a test program in 2019. Made from biodegradable materials with a reusable fabric band, the used diapers were processed at the local Food Organics and Garden Organics composting facility instead of being disposed of in a landfill like the approximately five million disposable diapers used in Australia every day. These nappies, made by Tasmania-based company Eenee, are a time-saving, environmentally friendly alternative to reusable cloth diapers that require washing and drying. The results of the successful trial received conditional approval from the NSW Environment Protection Authority and has attracted interest from manufacturers worldwide. Heroic man in Netherlands saves tourists in a sinking minibus.
A vehicle carrying nine people plunged into an Amsterdam canal, when the driver was unsuccessfully attempting to park. A video taken by a local in a nearby building shows the brave man jumping into the water and forcing the front door open. Some of the trapped occupants swam out as others climbed through the windows on the other side of the van. A nearby riverboat also came to help the passengers out of the cold water. Divers from emergency services searched the vehicle to ensure it was clear. All nine people made it out safely, although two of them were taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Bravo, all involved, in this valiant rescue. In God’s watchful Gaze, may such acts of courage be applauded, as we seek to protect all in danger. The Singapore Institute of Technology and Agrocorp International, a global agricultural supply chain company, have recently partnered to develop high-quality plant-based foods. The research program combines science and technology to enhance the plant protein extraction processes and make them greener, as well as improve their quality, yield and capability. One of the technologies used is the Pulsed Electric Field, in which high voltage electric pulses make plant cell membranes permeable to extract their proteins. The results of the research will enable Agrocorp to produce more nutritious, cost-effective, sustainable and clean label ingredients. In 2021, the two entities successfully launched a variety of plant-based products under the HerbYvore brand and have new items such as plant-based cheddar and mozzarella in their innovation pipeline. American city takes steps to protect migrating salamander-people.
The city of Marquette in Michigan has taken measures to safeguard the blue-spotted salamander-persons that reside in its Presque Isle Park. Every year, the gorgeous amphibians migrate from the safety of the forest grounds to their breeding ponds. Unfortunately, this yearly migration across a dark, busy road at night proves fatal for many hundreds of them. It concerned Eli Bieri so deeply, a student at Northern Michigan University at the time, that he succeeded in getting the city to implement a partial road closure in 2020, and fatalities dropped from hundreds to just a few. With this proof of success, the city has continued to keep the blue-spotted salamander-folk’s path free of all vehicles from 8 pm until 8 am every day, during their migration season that ended in mid-April. We share our gratitude for the precious blue-spotted salamander-people’s continued safeguarding by the kind Marquette residents. May all our treasured co-inhabitants always be sheltered, in Heaven’s immense love.

Greetings, Beloved Master and Supreme Master TV team, Master’s greatness cannot be praised even with the most perfect language of the Universe. The Highest Lord of the Universe has transformed Her Loving Power of grand Mercy and Compassion into countless Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, and has been reborn in this mundane world as enlightened Masters life after life to liberate sentient beings from the sea of bitterness. I’m so honored to be born and live on the Earth this time with the Highest Lord and enjoy Her grand Love, which I’m so grateful for and will never forget. In order to deliver sentient beings from suffering, Beloved Master has always been struggling in critical junctures of life and death. Throughout the years, Master has been saving and liberating myriads of beings, be it Asura or hell-beings, humans, animal-people, and invisible beings, to the eternal Heaven.
Master is mercifully shouldering and absorbing the heavy karma of sentient beings. Despite the inner torment and indescribable illness, She keeps working and working, without rest. She asks for nothing in return from disciples, and would feel comforted even if just one person understands what She has been doing. Even Buddhas and Bodhisattvas in the ten directions couldn’t bear to see how Master has been sacrificing Herself, and shed tears. I’m infinitely grateful to Master for Her devotion and sacrifice for disciples and the whole humankind. At this critical moment of the Earth, there are abnormal changes of terrains in many countries, such as a great number of sinkholes, big or small, appearing for unknown reasons, warning that the surface of the Earth has started to crumble. As disciples, we have to introspect, repent, and meditate as diligently as possible, exert our spirit of devotion to help whoever is in need, and keep praying that our fellow humans would open their hearts to adopt the compassionate vegan diet. Only through doing so will we be able to create truly everlasting peace on Earth. Wishing that our Respected and Beloved Master, under the protection of Heavenly Godses, will be safe and in good health, smoothly accomplish Her universal plan and successfully save the Earth.
