The development of low-carbon technologies in the cement industry is essential for reducing CO2 emissions. A team of research engineers at the University of Cambridge, UK, has developed a cost-effective method for producing low-carbon concrete using waste cement. After a building is demolished, the waste concrete is crushed to separate the cement from the aggregates.
