The European Union, Finland, and Italy have provided almost €15.7 million to pay for medical referrals at East Jerusalem Hospitals Network (EJHN), a network that consists of six member hospitals. The EU contributed €13 million, the Government of Finland €1.678 million and the Government of Italy €1 million. The EJHN facilities serve as the referral centers within the Palestinian health system, to provide highly specialized medical services to Palestinian citizens from the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and Gaza who can’t find the needed treatment in their area. The provision further encourages the Palestinian Authority to make a more resilient and sustainable health system to improve health outcomes for all. Italy is a Shining World Leadership Award for Public Health Protection recipient. The European Union is a recipient of four Shining World Leadership Awards for Humanitarianism, two Shining World Leadership Awards for Peace, and a Shining World Leadership Award for Earth Protection; as well as a laureate of two Shining World Leadership Awards for Humanitarianism and Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, Unconditional World Care and True Caring. China declares first national drought in nearly a decade.
On August 18, 2022, China issued a nationwide drought warning for the first time in nine years, as over two months of exceptional heatwaves have shrunken the width of its Yangtze River by half. Crossing 19 provinces from northwestern to eastern China, the Yangtze River supports approximately one third of the country’s population. According to the Ministry of Water Resources, high temperatures in July 2022 alone have affected 5.5 million people and over 450,000 hectares of land, amid hydropower shortages, forest fires, damaged crops and mounting cases of heatstroke. Distressingly, over 300,000 people have even had difficulties accessing drinking water. Citing the global climate crisis as the cause, officials cautioned that the intense drought may last for another month. We are sad to hear of your climate dilemma, China. Hallo, charming viewers, I’m Maverick, a vegan bro from the Marbled Polecat kingdom. You’ll often find me and my workout buddies out in the grasslands making sure everyone is looking after the soil, grass and shrubs so we all have a lovely home to live in. I have a cool tip on how to make flower seed balls, to show you one way you can keep natural growth happening. Begin by combining local, native grass and flower seeds, with clay, soil, and water in a bowl, then mix it together using your hands. Break up any clumps of clay and dirt and keep on mixing until the mixture has a consistency like cookie dough. Add in some water if the mixture is too dry and add some soil if it’s too wet or sticky. Roll the mixture into 2.5-centimeter balls and set them on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Allow it to dry overnight. Make sure the seed balls are completely dry before you start using them. After that, all you need to do is throw them into any dirt or grass patch. The morning dew and rain will cause the seed balls to dissolve and water the seeds. Now you can then watch them all grow. Famed vegetarian British designer, Stella McCartney, recently helped to initiate a sustainability investment vehicle called Collab SOS with the venture capital firm Collaborative Fund. With current funds of US$200 million, Collab SOS will invest in cleaner businesses and environmentally supporting solutions, and has already backed Bolt Threads, the producer of Mylo mushroom leather. Through her vegan fashion brand, Ms. McCartney showcased the Mylo product early last year, where it was featured in a top and trousers for women. Swiss artist builds clay dream world on dry river bank.
Swiss artist François Monthoux recently started his annual sculpture project, using clay soil from the dried bed of the Toleure River in Switzerland. This year, he has built an entire city of cascading castles with high towers and curtain walls, producing a sublime and enchanting masterpiece. Ironically, the enduring drought in Europe has allowed his artwork to last longer and gain greater momentum than in previous years. As such, Mr. Monthoux has mixed feelings, as he hopes for rain, feels sad to see plants dying all around him, and believes that it would be a catastrophe if the drought persisted, even though he would not be able to continue such artistry. Thank you, François Monthoux, for your mesmerizing creations and for also conveying the environmental emergency message. Heroic man rescues 98-year-young grandmother and family during Kentucky, United States, flood.
Living in Illinois and feeling desperate about her grandmother, uncle and brother trapped inside their house in Whitesburg, Kentucky, Missy Crovetti posted a pictureon the social media app Facebook of her 98-year-young grandmother Mae sitting in her bedroom in waist-deep water and asked for help. Afterwards, an anonymous rescuer bravely swam through the floodwaters to bring the three family members, Mae, Larry and Gregory Amburgey, to safety, by floating them to a waiting rescue boat. Mae was reported to be in good spirits and is recovering in hospital from pneumonia and a cut on her leg as a result of the incident. We are thankful that the Amburgey family is safe and are most deeply grateful to the hero Good Samaritans that exist in our world. May they be blessed bountifully, in Heaven’s enduring grace. Park dedicated to dog-people opens in major city in Âu Lạc (Vietnam).
Yên Sở Dog Park covers an area of 1650 square meters, is surrounded by fences and arranged inside with toys, exercise equipment, wooden balancing ladders, and repainted old car tires. With its short-grass lawn, everything is ready for canine-people to run, jump, play and enjoy. The park designers also set up specific areas for your furry friends to eat and use the toilet, as well as tables and chairs which are placed under the tree shade for their caregivers to rest. This wonderful facility can accommodate approximately 100-200 dog-friends each day. Great news, Yên Sở Dog Park. It is so awesome when we care and love people from all kingdoms. Saying this, You’re like a Loving Mother deeply yearning for the return of Her children traveling far from Home. Master, I don’t want to be a drifter anymore. I want to be beside You at all times.
I’ve examined myself to find that all these years after initiation, I’ve been very ignorant. I thought I was diligent in spiritual practice, but I didn’t do things in the way they should be done. It turns out that only by making an offering to Master and God before doing anything and reciting the Five Holy Names at all times can one walk on the right path. I hope that Master can forgive me and give me chances to do things and practice spiritually in correct ways to make up for what I’ve done wrong before.
I wish that Master and Her saintly dog-people are always guarded and protected by high Godses, and stay safe and healthy forever, and that Master’s wish to save the world be realized very soon.
