Looking for a crafty idea to brighten up your home? Here is a tip on how to make tea light lanterns using empty soda cans. With a utility knife, make longitudinal cuts that are each about half an inch (one centimeter) apart and approximately one inch (2.5 centimeters) or so from the top and bottom of the can. You will end up with around 12 strips on a normal can. Carefully push down on the top of the can so the strips flex outward. Battery-operated tea lights are safe options when illuminating these. You can attach little wire handles to hang these cute lanterns to decorate your patio!

“Dad, tell me if you know. Why did the melon jump into the lake?”

“Why Alvin?”

“Because it wanted to be a watermelon!”
