I don’t know why you’re so complicated. I’m a very simple teacher. I teach you everything so black, white, logical, simple. Nothing I teach that you cannot understand. Even for the beginner. Even if you don’t understand, I explain once and you understand, immediately. So why are you so complicated? Try to formulate in a simple way. Save a lot of time, energy. […] But never mind, doesn’t matter really. You don’t need any answers. You don’t need any questions. Just continue to do the instruction, and then you’ll know everything. Question and answer can be just sometimes an excuse to sit together. […]

(I have been getting treatment for a long time as my spine is hurting. However, it has not worked. Recently, I have been getting energy treatment from a fellow initiate. And he is also suffering from the same pain that I am experiencing.) (She has a hurt backbone, and then now she has treated it by chi.) Chi? Qigong? (Yes, chi. And then…) She hurt her back? (Yes, hurt her backbone.) And then? She went for treatment or what? (Treatment from her friend. Her friend has also practiced some years together.) And used Qigong to heal her? Is that right? (Not Qigong. Chi treatment.) Chi treatment? (Yes.) OK, they used chi. And then, what happened? (And then simultaneously, she and her friend also had some illness.) Illness? (Yes, together.) After the treatment? (After the treatment, together.) And then? (That’s her question.)

What’s the question? (I’m feeling sorry but I’m still being treated from him as there is no effective method to heal it. I’m very curious if he’s getting a negative effect from me or not. And If I practice Quan Yin [inner Heavenly Sound] diligently…) (When she was treated by her friend, she felt so sorry for her friend. But her friend is a fellow initiate, is it OK?) Not initiate? (Initiate.) (Yes.) (Initiate.) So what? (Fellow initiate treated her backbone illness.) So what’s the question? You feel sorry for your friend because he had sickness? (She felt sorry for her friend.) Because he had problem? (Yes.) Same problem? (Only her feeling.) But that’s not the same illness. Both the same illness or what? (Not same illness.) People get sick sometimes.

(I feel very sorry for him, because he’s getting the same pain that I have. And it’s not like we don’t know each other, and I know the karma as I’m a practitioner. So I feel very sorry for him.) (She felt that when she was treated by this chi, and then she felt very sorry for her friend. Because we know about karma. There is karma when we have something.) But did her pain get better? (It’s getting better slowly, but it’s not that effective as I’m overdoing things in my life.) (Slowly, slowly getting better.) Then why did she let her friend treat her? If she feels sorry then she should go to another doctor, then give the karma to another doctor.

I feel very tired. Not because of your question, but because of the translation. The translation has no life. Strains my attention, strains my energy. Tell her it’s OK. If the initiates help each other, it doesn’t matter. And next time, maybe he’s sick and you take the karma back, no problem. Some more? No questions? (No.) No more? (No questions. No more questions.) The translation must be more lively. I feel that he doesn’t even speak good Korean. Speak “uh, uh, uh,” like chopping wood. Not smooth translation. And the questioner also doesn’t know how to ask questions. Makes everybody pay too much attention for nothing. I just asked, “Is your sickness better?” Then just say, “Yes.”

And also save the atmosphere. Keep it lively. Keep it happy.

When you first came, everybody laughed, and after a while, everybody didn’t understand. “What did he say? No, what, what?” Even he, Korean, didn’t understand. How [do] I understand? And when one person speaks, everybody should listen so then after I answer, you all understand why. When he speaks, he said, “I didn’t hear.” So what did you do? But never mind, doesn’t matter really. You don’t need any answers. You don’t need any questions. Just continue to do the instruction, and then you’ll know everything. Question and answer can be just sometimes an excuse to sit together. (Excuse me.) Forget it. (It’s for being together, it’s just to be together.) If I keep repeating many times, oftentimes, I don’t have any more inspiration to speak. (Repeating the same thing over and over again diminishes inspiration. It means loss of inspiration.) What did you say? (I translated.)

OK. So I think it’s better I give you some (vegan) cakes and candies, and then you go to sleep. And then you’ll be happy. And sweet. You share among yourselves. You stay here tomorrow or you go home? (Go home.) Go home? No? Who goes home? Who goes home, raise hand. Who goes home tomorrow? No? (Stay here.) Stay for… Tomorrow go home? (Tomorrow, yes.) Oh, yeah! (Yes, tomorrow!) Yeah, sure. (Some of them are staying here for three or four days.) And some go tomorrow? (Yes, some go tomorrow.) Who goes tomorrow? Wow! So many people go tomorrow! Oh! Oh! Break my heart! The people who go tomorrow, come here. And the other people go further, a little further. What time tomorrow? What time? (3:10 PM.) Three, in the afternoon? (The flight time is…) Afternoon, OK. (Yes, afternoon.) Go tomorrow, right? (Yes.)

Bring more (vegan) cookies. (OK.) Only people who go tomorrow, come here. Other people, separate, so I know. Stand, other people stand up. The go tomorrow, sit down. Got it? Understand? Go tomorrow? (Yes.) Yeah? No wonder. All he’s been doing here was thinking of his wife. Go tomorrow? (Yes.) Three o’clock? Pick up. Who goes tomorrow? OK. Pick up. Go tomorrow, huh? (Yes.) Only the ones who go tomorrow. Tell them only the ones who go tomorrow. Other people, no. Tomorrow? (Tomorrow.) So everybody goes home, huh? Just now only ten people raised [their] hands. And now everybody goes home. I don’t believe it. You break the precept of telling lies or what? (Tomorrow.) Slowly, everybody will have, slowly. Ah, can’t catch it? More of this. My hands are too small. Tomorrow? (Yes.) Why? (Thank You, Master.) Why you go [and] leave me alone? (Yes. My office…) Office, huh? (…yes, starts tomorrow.) OK. Eat slowly, OK?
