In today’s news, India to provide food assistance to African countries, new study reveals environmental footprint of animal products up to 15 times higher, Japan pledges to be carbon neutral by 2050, data reveals United States suicide rates declined in 2019, British four-year-old makes Christmas gift packages for the less fortunate, Pizza Hut teams up with Beyond Meat to create veg pizza, and Oman passes law to protect animals.

India to provide food assistance to four African countries.

India, a Shining World Leadership Award for Compassion laureate and a Shining World Compassion Award recipient, has provided Sudan, South Sudan, Djibouti and Eritrea with a total of 270 metric tons of food in response to natural disasters and COVID-19. The aid consists of 155 metric tons of wheat flour, 65 metric tons of rice, and 50 metric tons of sugar, and was transported from Mumbai on an Indian naval ship. In an official statement, the Ministry of External Affairs of India noted, “The strong bonds of friendship and brotherly relations between India and countries in Africa have been forged and strengthened over several centuries.” A high salute, India. May your generous contribution bring much nourishment to the gentle beneficiaries, in Heaven’s elevating grace.

New study reveals massive environmental footprint of animal products.

A study commissioned by Switzerland-based global investment company Blue Horizon found that the environmental footprints of four different animal proteins, namely, egg, pork, chicken and beef, are 3.2 to 15 times higher than plant-based alternatives. Entitled “Environmental impacts of animal and plant-based food,” the report highlighted that just replacing 10% of meat with plant-based food would free up 38 million hectares of land by 2030, an area larger than the size of Germany. Furthermore, it would prevent 176 million tons of CO2 emissions, which is the equivalent of saving 2.7 billion trees and enough water for the entire population of New York State for five years. In conclusion, the analysis urged everyone to transition to a more sustainable plant-based food system. Many thanks for this report, Blue Horizon. For the survival of all beings, may humanity quickly take heed and embrace the vegan lifestyle, in God’s wisdom.

Up next, Japan pledges to be carbon neutral by 2050. We will pause for a moment to thank art directors, who steer the vision for a team of designers on a creative project. When we return, more mind-soothing news ahead, here on Supreme Master Television!

Hallo, virtuous viewers, it’s Axel the vegan Arboreal Alligator Lizard! People say I have keen and original insights. Want to enhance your own intuition? Switch over to a wholesome vegan diet like I did! Do you have an old sweater or two that you don’t wear? You can transform them into awesome winter mittens. Cut the sweater according to two patterns, one for the top side of the mitten, and one for the palm side. Then, add a fleece lining and sew on some cuffs. It’ll be helpful to have a sewing machine and thread, a pair of sharp scissors, and a video or website to guide you on the details. These handmade mittens can make sweet holiday gifts for your family and friends. Love you so much for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet thus save the world! And thank you for your attention. Here’s the weather around our beautiful globe.

Japan, a Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, Animal Protection and Generosity laureate, pledges to be carbon neutral by 2050.

The Prime Minister of Japan, His Excellency Yoshihide Suga, recently announced that Japan would join more than 60 other countries and the European Union in achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. Prime Minister Suga’s announcement was made during his first address to parliament since taking office, where he also highlighted the economic benefits of this policy. Japan has the third largest economy in the world and its actions could significantly reduce global emissions. Thank you, Japan and your Excellency Yoshihide Suga, for your pledge. May these goals – and the biggest priority of enacting vegan law – be realized soon so our children can have a brighter future, in Buddha’s compassion.

US suicide rates show decline.

Preliminary government data has revealed that the rate of people in the United States who took their own lives in 2019 showed a slight decline, down to 13.9 per 100,000 people. It was the first annual drop in more than a decade. The positive trend was hailed by Dr. Christine Moutier, Chief Medical Officer of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, who applauded concerted efforts, including mental health screenings. While the latest figures are pre-pandemic, Dr. Moutier signaled that COVID-19 had brought positive aspects, such as greater acceptance of the normalcy of mental health distress, and of seeking counseling. She also highlighted the increasing availability of telemedicine, in which patients can consult doctors remotely. A hand to the heart in appreciation for the mental health professionals and all involved. May humans everywhere assist each other through life’s challenges, as we pray for happier lives for all beings, in Heaven’s benevolence.

British preschooler makes Christmas presents for less fortunate children.

After having a dream that some children would not have anything to open on Christmas day, four-year-old Pippa Jackson launched “Pippa’s Christmas Project” with the help of her mom Kadie Jackson. The caring girl assembled dozens of Christmas gift packages for underprivileged youngsters, containing items such as coloring pencils, pens, gloves, scarves, and hats. The project had been accepting donations and selling decorations that Pippa, her mom, and two-year old sister Zara, made to help fund the venture. The gift bags were given to shelters and others going through challenging times. Such a selfless endeavor, Pippa Jackson, and thanks also to your wonderful mom Kadie and little sister Zara. May your actions bring much joy and warmth to the recipients as we give thanks to the Lord Jesus Christ for blessing the world with His unconditional Love.

Coming up, Pizza Hut teams up with Beyond Meat to create veg pizza. It’s time for us to express our gratitude to God for the chance to exercise the wisdom we gain through meditation. You’re watching Noteworthy News on Supreme Master Television. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Amicable News for a Gracious World.

Pizza Hut and Beyond Meat team up to create veg pizza.

Beyond Meat and Pizza Hut in the United States have collaborated to create two pizzas that will be topped with the Beyond Meat Italian sausage crumbles. Both the Beyond Italian Sausage Pizza and the Great Beyond Pizza (which also contains vegetables) will have a pan-fried base and can be made vegan by omitting the dairy cheese. Both companies will continue expanding their collaboration to bring delectable plant-based offerings to Pizza Hut outlets across the United States and globally. Encouraging news, Pizza Hut and Beyond Meat. In Celestial blessing, may there be even more collaborations like this one that bring wider plant-based options to customers around the world.

Oman passes law to protect animals.

The government of Oman recently introduced measures based on a Royal Decree to address the mistreatment of animals. Penalties of a month in prison and/or US$1,300 will be issued for a range of offenses such as exploiting animals for entertainment, overworking animals, giving them growth stimulants, neglecting or causing pain to them, and more. Dr. Peter Nolosco, a veterinarian in Muscat, Oman, welcomed the new law while also commenting, “The awareness of proper respect for animals must originate in schools, so that children learn to take care of them.” Thank you, Oman, for taking this legal step to increase the welfare of our loving animal friends. We pray that soon countries everywhere will truly and completely adhere to their animal protection laws for real justice, in Allah’s mercy.

And now for your daily dose of giggles, it’s the joke of the day entitled, “Detector.”

This Christmas, Dolly decided to buy her friend a lie detector as a gift.

“Oh… I love it!”

“We’ll see.”

?!

And now we have a heartline from Hsiao-Chiao in Taiwan, also known as Formosa:

Dear Supreme Master Television team, During this joyful Christmas holiday, I can’t wait to share my experiences with beloved Master Ching Hai and everyone: Many years ago, I got divorced. In order not to let my parents, who love me, worry, I endured everything alone. I had nowhere to express my desperation and pain. I only knew that I should look for Lord Jesus Christ, so I prayed to the loving Father God to let me sleep in Hiers arms to recover some strength. That night, I really peacefully fell asleep during the prayer, and woke up amidst a wonderful voice of poetry recitation the next morning, and then I could work normally. One evening a few days later, again, I fell asleep in prayer. In my dream, I was embraced by a sacred and peaceful white light. Jesus Christ appeared in a white robe and long hair with His back facing me, just the way I remember. In awe and excitement, I walked to Him, and He slowly turned around -- it’s Master Ching Hai… Then I woke up, and realized that Master is always looking after me in different appearances. Master, please allow me to tell You that I love You so much, and it is such a great honor to be Your disciple and receive Your endless love in this life. Thank You for loving me and looking after us disciples and everyone. After that, I have been earning my living by baking vegan cakes. I have learned some techniques and got some inspiration from vegan cuisine shows on Supreme Master Television so that my business is prospering. Thank you, the Supreme Master Television team, for your selfless dedication! With my love, Hsiao-Chiao from Taiwan (Formosa)

Strong Hsiao-Chiao, Our gratitude for your letter, which was very moving and touched our hearts. The strength of your love for God, Jesus Christ, and Master, truly tells the story of how through faith and trust, God can always provide the support, comfort, and wisdom we need to survive and become one with Hirm, as we move through our lives on Earth. May the Providence light your path to happiness and bring good health and joy to all in picturesque Taiwan (Formosa), Supreme Master TV team

P.S. Master has some words for you: “Devout Hsiao-Chiao, by trusting in Heaven’s will, we will always be on the right path. Thank you for giving those in your community the opportunity to taste delicious vegan food through your cakes. May you and the open-armed Taiwanese (Formosan) people always be graced with harmony and fortune. Love Love.”
