Many people with high positions in the society, in the government, or in the political circles appear to be of higher class than her. They live in a luxury life, and they look very noble and dignified. But they are not as honest as she is. Maybe circumstances forced her to change jobs, so she could make money and survive. She may have to take care of her parents or children, or relatives, friends, etc. You don’t know her situation. She has this job, but that doesn’t mean she is no good. Moreover, she is frank. In my eyes, you two are the same. I am very sorry, but I see the inner qualities and not the appearance. Now you see, you told me that no one ever treated you as well as I did. When I kept you waiting, I would offer you something to eat or drink. I chatted with you, sat at the same table, and ate with you. Wherever I go, I take you too. This is because I judge you by your inner qualities, not by your position. Then how can you ask me to look at the girl in a different way? If I do that, what’s the difference between me and others? I think some of the prisoners are more honest than those in high positions in the society. They tend to do things on impulse, but they’re very straight forward. When they want to do something, they just do it. They don’t use tricks to hurt people, for example. Some of them do, but not all of them. They also have emotions, wisdom, and very lofty ideals. They sometimes want to help others. However, they fell into traps and could not get out. It was a long time ago, maybe six, seven, or eight years ago, I went to the Yilan prison to visit prisoners. When I visited the brothers there, I told the story to encourage them and to let them know that I understood them.
