Afghanistan receives humanitarian aid from international community.
The government of Afghanistan’s central bank, Da Afghanistan Bank, has received over US$1 billion in relief aid in the form of cash from the international community, since the Taliban takeover in August 2021. In November 2022, US$80 million in lifesaving assistance was received. With decades of conflicts, economic crises, the pandemic, and natural disasters, Afghanistan is experiencing one of its most severe humanitarian situations, which has left almost 19 million people facing acute food insecurity. Thank you, international community, for being in solidarity with the people of Afghanistan. May our beloved Afghan brothers and sisters always be bestowed with dignity and freedom, in Allah’s benevolent Mercy.
India is struck by climate disasters almost daily.
A new paper released by the Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) and Down to Earth Magazine, an environment, development and sustainability focused Indian publication, highlights the increasing occurence of extreme weather events across the subcontinent. The study reveals that abnormal weather patterns, such as intense cold snaps, heat waves, lightning, heavy rainfall, severe storms, floods, or cyclones, have struck one or more regions of India on 241 out of 273 days from January 1, 2022 to September 30, 2022. These devastating weather events have sadly accounted for over 2,700 human deaths, 416,667 houses lost, 70,000 animal-person deaths, and have affected 1.8 million hectares of crops. Sunita Narain, CSE Director General, says, “What the country has witnessed so far in 2022 is the new abnormal in a warming world.” Such a distressing situation, Centre for Science and Environment and Down to Earth Magazine, on the rise of extreme weather events across India. G7 countries coordinate help for Ukraine’s (Ureign’s) redevelopment.
At a meeting in Muenster, Germany, in November 2022, representatives from the European Union, Great Britain, Japan, United States, Germany, Canada and Italy (informally known as the “Group of Seven” or G7 countries) reached an agreement to arrange support “to help Ukraine repair, restore and defend its critical energy and water infrastructure.” Ukraine’s (Ureign’s) energy sources have been targeted by waves of Russian missile and drone strikes, causing widespread blackouts. It is reported that up to 40% of its power system has been impaired. After the two-day meeting, the foreign ministers stated: “We will stand firmly with Ukraine for as long as it takes.” Our appreciation, all nations uniting to support Ukraine (Ureign). In the protection of the Providence, may peace soon blossom in Ukraine (Ureign) as the global community comes together as one to rebuild this beautiful land.
Businesses receive loans to promote recycling activities.
The Ventura County Public Works Agency in California, United States, celebrated 2022 America Recycles Day, observed annually on November 15, with a ceremonial check presentation to three businesses in the county that are participating in a state-supported, low-interest loan program. Progressive Environment Industries was awarded a US$1.2 million loan, to help the company continue to provide quality, green recycled materials for its thriving landscaping business. Oxnard Pallet received US$535,000, to fix more broken pallets and build new ones using castoffs. Lastly, Pinnpack received a US$11 million loan, to modernize its equipment used for the large-scale manufacture of recyclable plastic food packaging that incorporates recycled plastic during production. These companies have helped to create 250 jobs and boosted local economic growth while reducing waste. Thank you, the government of Ventura County and all involved. May more nations commit to addressing the environmental waste crisis to make the world more beautiful, in God’s enduring Grace.
Kenyan airport employees return bag containing substantial amount of money.
Two workers and a policewoman at Wilson Airport in Kenya discovered 2.3 million shillings or almost US$19,000 in a small travel bag and contacted the owner to return it. Benson Nickolson, from the United Kingdom, was vacationing in Kenya and Tanzania and had accidently dropped the bag at the airport. Containing a large sum of cash, his wallet and credit cards, Mr. Nickolson panicked when he realized the items were missing. Fortunately, the bag was found and an employee named Martin Kamau from the airport’s security office called Mr. Nickolson with the good news. When arriving back at the airport to identify his belongings, Mr. Nickolson was beside himself with relief to see that all the valuables were still there. Our gratitude, Martin Kamau and others involved, in returning Benson Nickolson’s lost items. British dog-person takes refuge in police station to avoid fireworks.
A border collie dog-gal named Rosie, from Loughborough in the United Kingdom, was recently out for a walk with her human companion, when some people nearby started setting off fireworks. Terrified by the noise, she ran, and eventually found a police station, where she entered, sat down in the corner, and made friends with the officers. Thankfully, Rosie was wearing a collar containing her contact information. The police then called her caregivers, who promptly came to pick her up. Such a wonderful story, smart Rosie, on your intelligent actions to seek safety in a police station. In God’s magnanimous Love, may people consider the well-being of our animal friends as we create a serene environment in which all may flourish.

Greetings and with great respect to my Dear Master Ching Hai and the Supreme Master TV team, I am writing this letter to share an inner experience I had a few nights ago. Following Master’s advice, not to eat late at night because we would fall under the influence of the negative power, I rarely ate anything after sunset. But despite my resolution, one night, due to hunger and weakness, I had to eat at 11 pm.
After my meditation, I was drawn into a tunnel in a trance state and began to fly through it at great speed. I was looking for the light, but instead I was drawn into a very dark environment. There, I heard the voice of a devil who started talking to me. Suddenly, I saw his hand reaching out of the darkness and he said to me, “Put your hand in mine.” He asked me to join him. But I turned my back on him with great anger, deep disgust and hatred, and started shouting and cursing at him. My screams and anger towards him were so loud that I couldn’t hear him as he was trying to convince me. Finally, he asked me, “Are you sure? Otherwise...” He threatened me with this sentence.
But I confidently started reciting the Holy Names and returned to my body. I saw in the room that he was separating my soul from my body. I saw my soul rising up for him to carry out his threat, but again I repeated the Holy Names and very quickly returned to my body. This happened while Master’s song was still playing on my mobile phone. It was the inner Master that inspired me to play Master’s song on my cell phone before sleeping. I think playing Master’s song together with reciting the Holy Names and my strong faith in the Master, saved me from this predicament.
There were two important points for me in this inner experience: One is to put all Master’s teachings into action in life as they will protect us. Second, the devil loves to drag us initiates into darkness. Therefore, we must take care of our faith and practice spiritually well so that he does not dare to approach us.
