Today, it is our pleasure to share with you an introduction to the uplifting work of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), an intergovernmental organization established in 1951 that has 169 member states, with offices in more than 100 countries across our world. IOM firmly believes that humane and orderly migration benefits both migrants and societies. As such, their work involves upholding the human dignity and well-being of migrants, encouraging social and economic development through migration, providing education about migration issues, and working to overcome the operational challenges of migration management.
