The European Parliament called on October 22 for the EU [European Union] to consider a Black Sea naval operation following deadly attacks on civilian vessels, which lawmakers blamed on Russia. Both countries retain independent nuclear forces and national control over their use (Gov.uk)

The interior ministry reported 1,314 arrests nationwide, with more than 70,000 officers deployed (Fox News, The Guardian)
Nepal will receive US$20 million from the United Nations Fund for Responding to Loss and Damage following the August 26 flood, which killed about 1,500 people and left more than 5,000 missing. The disaster affected roughly 60,000 individuals and caused an estimated US$2.7 billion in infrastructure damage. Reconstruction costs could exceed US$4.7 billion, with the aid covering less than 1% of that amount (Reuters)

A bird-people flu outbreak has continued for more than two months at a Utah [US] facility raising thousands of mink-persons for fur, prompting experts to warn that continued transmission could help the virus adapt to infect humans more easily. Mink-folk have airway cell receptors similar to those in humans, making them a potentially dangerous intermediate host. Experts criticized officials for failing to actively monitor exposed workers and urged stronger measures to prevent the virus from spreading (ProPublica)

A new study found that surveyed populations of fish-, crustacean- and cephalopod-people in the Gulf of Mexico declined by about 60% following British oil company BP’s 2010 Deepwater Horizon spill, with many species still not fully recovered in 2023. Researchers linked the persistent declines to oil contamination that impaired reproduction and reduced genetic diversity (The Guardian)
The Amazon rainforest released an average of 1.17 billion metric tons more carbon dioxide than it absorbed annually from 2010 to 2024, with wildfires driving the imbalance, a new study found. Researchers identified human activity as the main cause and warned that forest loss, declining rainfall and rising temperatures reinforce a cycle of fires and degradation. They called for sharply reducing fires, ending deforestation and restoring forests to help prevent a tipping point beyond which the rainforest cannot sustain itself (Phys.org)

During a difficult pregnancy, Amber Sowa experienced a realm of overwhelming Love and heard a voice tell her it was not her unborn son’s time. She awoke with a lasting change: she was no longer afraid to die. In 2000, 18-year-old Amber was approximately six months pregnant with her son. She describes an extremely rough pregnancy, with premature labor symptoms and very high levels of stress that she felt were affecting him. She also already had a young daughter. During this difficult time, she had what she initially thought was a dream. She now describes it as a near-death experience, although she remains unsure whether it was hers, her unborn son’s, or an experience they shared. Her experience began in a tunnel, where she heard happy children playing and giggling behind her. She could feel their joy and excitement. They ran up both sides of her, engulfed her, and ran around her as if she wasn’t even there, then continued through a tunnel of Light. She didn’t want to follow because it scared her. But she could still hear them, feel the pull, and sense their joy, so she went. As she stepped through an arch, she realized she was on a suspended stone walkway above two pools. The pool on her left was full of children, playing and splashing and having so much fun. The pool on her right was a wading pool full of elderly people, who were also playing and splashing and having the time of their lives. The joy felt exactly the same on both sides, with no bounds. Amber really wanted to jump in with the elderly people, but something told her no; she couldn’t go that way. She watched the children jump in and thought, OK, she might as well. She plugged her nose, got ready for the water, and jumped off the walkway. She kept falling and then realized she should have hit the water already. She took her hand off her nose and found she could breathe. This was the part that made her question whether it had really been a dream. Then she opened her eyes.
It was bright, but not. It was this, the most peaceful peach color that you could ever see. I didn’t see anyone, I didn’t feel anyone, but I heard someone talk to me, and I said, “I’m not dead, am I?” Wondering whether she was dead, Amber immediately thought of the daughter she would leave behind. She reassured herself that her daughter would be OK and would be taken care of. Then she heard a message.
It was a voice that I didn’t hear with my ears. It was a voice that I heard in the core of my head, in the very center of my head, and it said, “It is not his time.” Amber understood the message as referring to her unborn son. She wanted to stay with him, feeling they were OK where they were. But the voice firmly repeated that it was not his time. Amber woke up feeling like she’d had the best sleep she had ever experienced. But her body felt cramped, beyond just being pregnant. It took her a very long time to feel comfortable in her skin. She walked out to her mom and dad and told them she was no longer afraid to die. They asked what she meant.
And I said, “If that’s what dying feels like, I’m very upset that I had to be back, but I am not afraid anymore.” That was liberating. That took so much fear away from me. Amber says she isn’t a very spiritual person, but describes the voice as belonging to a higher being. To explain the comfort she felt, she recalls lying in bed as a child, feeling as though she were floating on a feather, not wanting to be moved or bothered.
It just felt like I was being engulfed in pure Love, pure Love. That’s what it felt like. I just knew everything was going to be OK, and the second that they said, “It’s not his time,” I knew he was meant to be here for a reason. He’s meant for great things. Amber says that after the experience, all of her premature labor symptoms stopped. The rest of her pregnancy went fine, and she gave birth to her son exactly on his original projected due date. Amber believes her son has had heightened spiritual sensitivity since birth. She describes a different vibration about him that she noticed from the moment he was born. She has always been open with him about her experience and believes it helped shape who he is today. Amber encourages others who have had experiences like hers to share their stories. Tell the story of that love, of that peace. It’s worth it. It’s Home. Felt like Home. (Earth To The Other Side (NDEs, OBEs, & STE’s)) YouTube channel – Thank you)
