The Honorable Chief Phil Lane Jr. (vegan) is a member of the Ihanktonwan Dakota and Chickasaw Nations. He was formally recognized by elders from across North America as a Hereditary Chief in 1992, owing to his noble lineage of leadership and longtime service to Indigenous peoples and greater humanity. In 1982, he founded the Four Worlds International Institute, which has become a global leader in the holistic development of Indigenous communities. Having master’s degrees in education and public administration, Chief Lane has also served as a university professor and government consultant, among other distinguished positions. He has also produced and been featured in award-winning documentaries. Chief Lane has received many awards for his tireless contributions, such as the Windstar Award, the Swiss Foundation for Freedom and Human Rights International Award, and the 2023 Stellar Award for Service to the Human Family.
Recently, Chief Lane and others put on a worldwide online conference called the “Global Convergence of Enlightening Our Way Together” that was held from December 15-22, 2023. He has stated, “The Global Convergence is dedicated to uniting diverse voices and perspectives to foster unity, understanding, and a shared commitment to the well-being of Mother Earth and all her children.”
During this event, the “Message from the Mother” was played. It is from the Kogi, an Indigenous nation in Colombia, and conveys what Mother Earth would like all of us to know about her perilous state and that there is an immediate need for action to save the planet. In a previous message to the world, the Kogi People emphasized that “we have to be the protectors of animals, rivers and nature” and that “when we mistreat Mother Earth, we mistreat ourselves.” The solution to our planetary crisis, therefore, lies in avoiding “any act of plundering of nature in any form.”

Message from the Mother – The Kogi Nation, Colombia
Throughout the ages, the Original Peoples of Earth have carried prophecy and instruction for these times. The Kogi Nation of Colombia are called the “older brothers” because they still live in an original way of life, maintaining a deep relationship with Mother Earth.
On November 17, 2023, the Kogi delivered this urgent message from Mother Earth. It is to be shared with the world and the younger brothers so that we may unite all nations in support of Mother Earth.
VOICE of MOTHER EARTH: I am the Mother. I am in the heart of the Universe. Throughout all of time, I have never suffered from such heat or exhaustion. I have endured for the last thousand years. Since that time, my natural connection points, my rivers, reservoirs and internal waterways across all continents have been obstructed and are full of pollution. I cannot cleanse or recuperate.
In December of 2023, I will start to rise and move and turn, sending this message out to all my children around the world. The storms, the earthquakes, the hurricanes and the rise of the ocean will come. If the governments, the sultans, the princes, presidents and kings of the world do not listen and act, in two years’ time, only 30% of the Earth will remain.
I am the Mother. I have always endured despite arrows being put in my eyes and in my body. I am not seeking to defend myself. I remain calm. But now, I must recuperate. There are two ways for me to heal. The first, I could take the Law of Nature into my own hands. This way, I will go in search of my medicines so I can cure my body, heal my energies and all that I'm suffering from. There will be great changes upon the Earth. You will feel me recovering. You will feel me moving. I will not do this to cause harm to you. It will mean I am recuperating my body. Or the second way. All my children will make the healing happen for me so I will not need to do it myself. I will put my older children in charge of my recovery. They will go and search for my medicines, for my cure, so I can be healed and recuperate with their help.
You, my children, must all be united and deliver what is needed for your older brothers so they can do the healing where I have been injured by you, my younger ones. Each one of the rulers of the world, of the governments of the world, must say: “Yes, Mother, I will stand with you. I will give my help to where you have been injured.”
I, your Mother, have given you everything. When these changes start to happen, we will see whether you listen and act or whether I myself will have to do what I must to recover the balance on Earth.
If in just 6 months from now, by June 2024, you say: “Yes, we will provide what is needed,” then my oldest children will be able to help cure my body. If this message is ignored, I will take the Law of Nature into my own hands one year and a half from that date. This is the message that the Mother has given. She who is in the heart of the world.
There are many organizations and movements that have been listening to Mother Earth and are preparing to act in response to the Mother's call. The older brothers need resources and collaborative partnerships to walk with Mother Earth as she recuperates.
