In the Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association News from Haiti…
Recent humanitarian and political crises in Haiti have resulted in nearly five million people experiencing severe food shortages. Galvanized by Supreme Master Television’s previous report on the strife of Haitians facing cholera outbreak and armed gang control, our Association members quickly set in motion, offering a gesture of love to comfort fellow citizens under the hardships of hunger, homelessness, and disrupted lives.
With contributions from Association members in Canada, a team of local Haitian initiates purchased and packed items such as rice, beans, flour, bulgur, spaghetti, vegetable cooking oil, and spices into reusable buckets along with copies of the “Alternative Living” flyer in Haitian-Creole. A total of 40 food relief kits were distributed to people with little or no support in the immediate surroundings. This included 33 most-vulnerable families and individuals, as well as seven initiates experiencing economic difficulties.
Additionally, a partial annual lease amount and an extra bucket of income-generating peanuts were provided for Ms. Dania Similien and her six children to assist them with housing security and self-sustenance for several months to come.
Our Haitian Association members also sent their gratitude and praise to our Most Benevolent Supreme Master Ching Hai for Her Love for Haiti, with an excerpt of their letter as follows: “The initiates of Haiti, wholeheartedly thank the Ultimate Master for all Hiers Kindness towards Haiti, unconditional and immeasurable Love. It is by Hiers Grace that this humble mission could be carried out. This initiative was an opportunity for the Haitian initiates to reconnect, to implement ‘Love is the Only Solution’ at home and abroad in all fraternity and spirit of service.
To the Revered Ultimate Master and to all our Brothers and Sisters around the world, we humbly say, in Creole, with all our hearts: ‘We thank you very much, all of Haiti thanks you!’”
