A team of scientists from Harvard University’s School of Public Health in the US completed a meta-study in October 2016 using data from 131342 participants who were tracked for more than 26 years in two separate medical studies to determine how diet relates to wellness and longevity. As reported in the “Journal of the American Medical Association,” the researchers concluded that replacing animal protein with plant protein was associated with a decreased risk of death. The most important factor in maintaining health and vitality has got to be what we put inside our bodies, and luckily that’s also what we’ve got the most control over.
